Youth Learn-to-Row/Development
At the Maritime Rowing Club, we strive to introduce youth of all ages and skill levels to the sport of rowing. Our Learn to Row / Development program helps athletes not only develop physically and mentally but also helps to foster lifelong leadership, accountability, and team-building skills.
No experience necessary, All skills levels are welcome! The program is co-ed and non-competitive with an emphasis on water safety and rowing fundamentals as well as learning to improve strength, fitness, flexibility, mental toughness, and discipline.
Spring, summer, and fall sessions are held outdoors, both on the water and on land, while the winter program is indoors in our 10-seat indoor rowing tank and boathouse. Programs are offered year-round with 1.5 hours sessions 2-3 times a week. See more about our summer programs here.
Athletes will be introduced to competitive rowing as well and have the opportunity to progress to our high school competitive program. See more about our High School Competitive Program here.
Make new friends, enjoy being outdoors, and be part of a great team!
COVID UPDATE: Due to COVID we have limited group sizes, are holding all sessions, winter included, outdoors, and rowing single person boats when on the water.
