OUR MISSION:

TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF ROWING!

Why MRC?

• Long Term Athletic Development
• Sculling development of Youth Rowers
• Rowing Tanks
• Indoor Training Facilities
• Consistent training methodology

Our main focus is on the long-term athletic development for all ages and abilities.

Developing our athletes through sculling (rowing with two oars) gives us the ability to ensure our athletes are developing while building skills that cannot be found in other types of rowing.

Our state-of-the-art rowing facilities include a 4,000 sq. ft. indoor training facility with new up-to-date rowing and weight lifting equipment. In addition, our indoor rowing tank facility gives our athletes the ability to row year-round in any type of weather conditions.

The sport of rowing has changed the trajectory of our children’s social lives and academic careers, and Maritime Rowing Club has played a big part in this.

Despite six practices a week, often in some miserable weather, our three kids have never complained once about heading to the boathouse to train with their friends.

Amazing place! The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of rowing. Their learn to row program was extremely helpful. I think this place is certainly worth considering if you’re thinking about trying a new sport and losing some weight.

Rowing at MRC fundamentally changed my life. Within my first year of rowing the coaches at MRC had propelled me to the Youth National Championships where I earned 11th place in the men’s 2x. Rowing at MRC was undoubtedly one of the best decisions that my parents and I made in advancing my future.

Took two months of MRC’s adult Learn to Row course, and absolutely loved it! They had us on the water on day 1, with lots of guidance, help, and tips.

Rowing and Maritime Rowing Club in particular has made a tremendous, positive impact on two of my children, both of whom went through MRC’s learn-to-row program and are now currently part of MRC’s competitive team.
